Making of jewelry using the silver granulation method

Within four hours, you will make a small piece of jewelry using the silver granulation method. This is a very old technique that is still widely used today. It is really variable and allows you to give free rein to your creativity. Jewelry is created by "gluing" granules/balls of silver to each other or to a base in an infinite number of arbitrary compositions. You can choose between earrings, a ring and a pendant, or similar small jewelry (ear cuff, septum, nostril, etc.). The workshop is led by jeweller Charlotte Pastrano.

How much time do you need? 4 hours.

How many people can be in the workshop together? 4 people, plus Charlotte

What can I make? A ring, earrings, pendant or similar small jewelry.

How much does the workshop cost? The price is 3,500 CZK / person.

Making of jewelry using the gravity casting method in a sand mold

This technique is already a bit more demanding, but it is all the more interesting! You can print almost anything in a sand mold that has a shape that allows this technique to be used. It cannot be used on hollow shapes. You can make the model yourself from jewelry wax, or you can use some natural materials or, for example, a favorite button. Then you prepare a sand mould, print the model in it and create the moldings. Next, you will melt the silver and pour it into a sand mold. You then finish the resulting casting into the desired shape and complete the piece of jewelry.

The workshop is led by Jan Vlasák.

How much time do you need? 5 hours.

How many people can be in the workshop together? 4 people, plus Jan.

What can I make? Ring, earrings or pendant.

Making of silver jewelry by casting into cuttlefish bone

A very effective technique that guarantees you an attractive result. You can capture the interesting layered structure of cuttlefish bone in silver and create a piece of jewelry according to your wishes - it is possible to cast simpler shapes, you can work with a model that can be printed in two working molds, and after printing it can be removed from the mold without breaking the impression. Cuttlefish bone casting is technically very similar to sand casting, the only difference is in the mold material used. Cuttlefish bone has been used as a mold for casting jewelry and small objects for thousands of years. Nowadays, it is already technically surpassed, but it has its charm, especially because after casting, the cast bears a rather distinctive layered structure imprinted from the cuttlefish bone.

Who's behind the workshops?

Workshops are prepared and organized by Markéta Vlasáková. Markéta enjoys writing emails and working with spreadsheets, has a great overview of everything, and wants you to leave the workshop not only with a handmade piece of jewelry, but also with a unique experience. She takes care of all the preparations and will be your main point of contact regarding reservations, vouchers, and more.

Honza Vlasák leads the afternoon workshops, focusing mainly on silver casting techniques such as sand casting and cuttlebone casting. He loves experimenting and isn't afraid of anything. With many years of experience, Honza is convinced that there's no such thing as an unskilled person.

Most workshops are led by jeweler Charlotte Pastrano. She runs all silver granulation workshops as well as other silver casting sessions. Charlotte has been leading workshops since 2024 and is the kindest and most patient instructor. She truly enjoys seeing your creations come to life!

Throughout the workshop, the instructors will provide you with full support. They will explain the tricky parts of making each piece, demonstrate every step, and guide you through the entire process at a pace that suits you. There's nothing to worry about! The only things you need to create your own piece of jewelry are three essentials – quality tools, know-how, and time. The first two are waiting for you in the workshop; the time is up to you! :)
